Active senior refuses to settle for less.
John is a very active man who enjoys being in nature, gardening, going for walks and spending time with his dogs outdoors. He has experienced shoulder weakness and increasing discomfort post-operatively. It became a hindrance in his life which meant he needed to find a resolution or look at facing another surgery.
In order to avoid a reverse shoulder replacement, John attended physiotherapy until they recommended that a biokineticist assist him in regaining strength and mobility in his shoulder.
“I arrived at excellent and attractive facilities and was impressed by the professionalism and caring approach”.
A series of exercises were commenced with guidance and instruction to rehabilitate the shoulder and is ongoing as improvements are beginning to be seen. John says that “the experience is good for the mind and body”.
“Although the process requires time and commitment, I realise that increasing pain and discomfort with weakness in the shoulder should not have been neglected.” The healing and strengthening process is underway and is allowing John more freedom of movement, ensuring that he is able to enjoy his favourite pursuits.
